In fact human hands have the ability of making objects by working on a three-dimensional manipulation basis, but they can achieve the finished product only in a slow sequence of movements and tasks, by stitching part after part and eventually building a complete shoe.

For centuries the traditional shoe stitching methods have based the main work of shoemaking, i.e stitching, on rudimentary techniques: hand stitching or manual machine stitching.

Nevertheless this manual work method is not able to respond to the increasing market need for higher production volumes and higher and constant quality. Nowadays the globalization and the opening of frontiers is pushing the producer into a fierce worldwide competition, raising both the production and quality crossbar, therefore there is a strong need for new technological concepts such as the ones developed by Orisol which offer a different “methodology” for making shoes, far better than the “traditional” one.

The geometry is converted into a sewing program and pallet program ready to be produced on a proprietary Orisol milling machine for making pallets. Orisol shoemaking production concept.

Only Orisol applies the "flattening" method for shoe production, which consist in opening the whole upper flat and maximizing the stitching through computerized vision / non vision stitching machines and then making all the required complementary work to "close" the shoe and achieve its normal three-dimensional shape.

In this way Orisol can cover from the 75% up to the 95% of the stitching work with high efficiency, speed, and quality that no human hand is able to achieve.

In order to comply with this new way of work, the conventional and traditional shoe pattern design has to be slightly modified. Indeed the differences from the traditional upper pattern design differs mainly in minor but smartly applied technical changes, that do not imply any change or modification whatsoever in the final outlook of the shoe, by on the other hand enhancing its quality while visibly reducing faulty uppers.

Orisol machines are equipped with Artificial Intelligence and image processing capabilities to SEE the material components, stitch and apply corrections in real time for any displacement or deformation. Our machines have a built-in quality control in the form of an "Online tolerance control." When the machine detects large material deformation or displacements, it will halt, although the final decision on disqualifying the part or continuing is left then to the operator.

For smaller production volumes where flexibility is particularly needed Orisol involves its small and mid range array of machines with 1010 up to 2520cm working areas. The upper is split up into two or three major work bulks and then assembled for a final shoe buildup.

Orisol computerized sewing machines are divided into two lines: a vision endowed line and a blind machines line, depending on the type of application and shoe material ( leather or synthetic ), to maximize customer’s cost-benefit investment ratio.
